Mac's House
Rory loves going to Mac's house. She especially loves Bonnie the Kitty Cat and the candy she gets to eat. She knows exactly where the M&Ms are and goes to them as soon as we get there. The last couple of times we have been there, Bonnie has been shy and has not made an appearance. Maybe it's because Rory likes to yell "MEOW" when she sees her. It's funny the associations she makes and remembers with things. When I told Rory we were going to Mac's house, she smiles really big and whispers, "candy." This visit we found a new toy....

My own doll
I think I am a pretty lucky mom. For obvious reasons, but one of my favorite is that Rory lets me dry and style her hair. She just sits on the bathroom counter and brushes her teeth with everyone's toothbrush while I dry. I think part of it, she loves looking at herself in the mirror. Here are pictures. This is the fluffiest I gotten her hair....

Mickey Mouse
I think Rory has a new love. Maybe the Curious George books have been replaced. We may not be that lucky, but she definitely found a new interest. It all started with two Disney/Mickey Mouse sing-a-long videos that one of Sammy's coworkers gave us. She said her niece loved them. The first time we watched it, she didn't seem too interested. We watched it a second time and was completely hooked. She even knows when the last song is on and starts sticking out her lower lip becasue she is sad it is over. She loved the Mermaid. She'll call me from another room to tell me that the mermaid is on. She also recognized the word "disney" in other places. (We were at Home Depot looking at swing sets, and there was a Disney brand sets and Rory pointed it out to us.)
Today we went to Dave and Busters. Rory loved the games. She jumped up and down as the tickets were spitting out of the game machines. We earned 610 tickets. So we were looking around the shop and found a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal. She is in love. During the car ride home she was kinda pointed him out the window saying "ook at that." He fell off the couch today and when Sammy handed him back to her, she asked him if he was scared. And told him "it's ok." We'll see how it progresses....she up to this point has not been interested in baby dolls or really taking care of anything, so this new situation is really fun to watch her.

Windmill
Rory loves windmills. We're not exactly sure why. The first one she saw was at the pediatrician's office. They have a metal windmill inside the waiting room next to a little play house. At lot of times when we are driving, she will ask "see, windmill?" She knows Nanny and Papa have one. There is one that we see on the way to and from HEB. We look for then every where we go. We look for them more probably than cows. We have discovered there is one just down the street from us by the Texas State Campus. We drove over there yesterday and got of the jeep to go see it. Rory was extremely excited and I don't think that description even does her justice. We probably heard the word "windmill" 5,000 times in the 10 minutes we were there. She of course didn't want to leave, but we had to convince her that the windmill needed to go "night-night." Finally, she agreed to leave. The farewell was hilarious. "Bye-bye windmill, see you tomorrow."(wave) She walks a couple of steps. Again, "Bye-bye windmill, see you tomorrow." (wave) Couple more steps, "Night-night windmill, sleep tight."(blows a kiss) And on and on. I think Sammy got some of her on video on his phone. What a girl!!

How cute?!!
Yesterday Sammy took Rory to KB toy store at the outlet mall. When I met him over there, Rory was pushing a play shopping cart around and going up to almost every toy she saw saying "how cute!" He said she had been doing that the whole time they were in the store. She was having a hard time trying to decide between a play baby stroller and the shopping cart. She just liked pushing something. We got the shopping cart and Sammy got a Lite Brite for himself, I mean for Rory.
Today Rory and I were driving in the car the Walmart, which she proudly announced as we drove up. We have a music CD from our music class that we usually listen to in the car. I was getting a little tired of listening to it, so I turned on the radio. She loudly said, "don't like it, Mommy." I switched the station a couple of times, but she continued to say "don't like it." She also directs me to "turn on, Mommy" if the volume is not loud enough. At least, she knows what she wants, right?
