Trouble

So I caught Rory and Payton doing something today and had vision of things to come....Payton was in her bouncy seat and Rory was sitting by her bouncing her pretty hard. Payton's head was definitely boucing off of/away from the seat and she was just giggling. Rory is pretty timid when it come to trying physical things, climbing on playground,etc. She needs encouragement and help. So, this is my vision-- Rory will be instructing Payton to do some wild physical act that she is too scared to try--jumping off who knows what and Payton will be the extra willing, pleasing little sister risking her life to make big sis proud. Ahhh!!!

Rory has been talking about snow and building a snowman since they have been talking about the seasons in Ms. Linda's class. We got some snow acculumation. It snowed most the of the day. We are all sick with colds, so maybe I'll blame it on that, but of course Rory didn't want to go outside. Tried many times to get her to go out, told her that she might not see snow like this again. Nope. Oh well. Got some pictures of Payton because I don't have to convince her. We finally got out of the house in the evening once Sammy got home. Rory and I drove around looking at snowmen and threw a couple of snowballs. We didn't stay out long because it was COLD and our hands were burning from the snow.

Family Pictures To Be continued...

We have been talking about doing a family picture since Rory was 10 months old. We are terrible and have been putting it off for silly reasons like, don't want to spend the money when we can just do them ourselves(haven't done it), we want to lose weight first(haven't done it), etc....so I made an appointment with a photographer. She does great work, April used her for her pregnancy pictures and newborn photos. So, we have the appointment, I order outfits for the girls. Coordinate everyone's clothes, everyone's hair is freshly cut. The Saturday is approaching that we are suppose to do the pictures and of course the weather is crazy cold and windy. So, we switch to Sunday. Sunday is even colder than Saturday was. So, try and postpone a couple of weeks. Well, photographer is pregnant, due in March and is taking Februrary off because she is getting tired, etc. Ok, reschedule for April. Well, Sammy promised me he would take some pictures since the outfits were all ready...Payton's won't fit in April. The day was perfect. Rory and I got ready while Payton napped. Sammy voluntarily was ready to go. The sun was out. It was fairly warm. We are walking out of the bedroom all dressed and Sammy says, is that wind I hear? We walk outside and a front has blown in. It's gloomy, windy and cold. I'm jinxed!!! We tried to take some, but it was just too cold. Got some ideas of places to take pictures in the future, but ahhh!! It will happen one day.

I have not been as diligent taking pictures of Payton as I was with Rory. We had Rory's 1st year picture book out the other day and it was really fun to see all the different stages she went through....so I'm trying to get on the ball with Payton. She was very smiley. She LOVES her toes...sucking on them! She kept rolling over too. It's crazy looking at pictures of Rory at the same age. Side by side they don't look alike, but looking at Rory's pictures alone, I see Payton. I mean, they are sisters....Payton is a lot more active than Rory was. She is very grabby. She loves the remote. We are already starting to think that we are going to have a more challenging time with her getting into stuff. Rory was so well behaved as a baby. We would tell her no and she would not touch the thing again. I never locked up any of the cabinets. So, we'll see. Payton is very determined and "tells" you what she wants. Much like Rory is now. My girls and their attitudes!
