Rory's friends

The other evening, Rory was having flashbacks to an interaction she had with her friend Colton-not exactly sure what it was. She was getting very mad, making fists with her hands and throwing them down at her sides. Saying, he makes me so mad, why? Because he wouldn't let me teach him. Hmm...Rory has to be in control of everything and friends aren't playing right if they don't follow her rules! Sorry, Colton, we love you very much and I'm sure Rory makes you mad sometimes too! Anyways, Sammy told her, Rory you need to be nice to your friends. No one is going to be want to be your friend if you are mean. You want friends, don't you? Rory's response, "I only need a couple!"
Rory asked me this morning if I could just drop her off at preschool. She said she would be ok to walk to the classroom by herself. Can you believe it? Already!!

First day of last year of preschool

Hard to believe Rory is in the 4 yr old class at Grace preschool. Where did the last two years go? I know we are going to be saying that at several stages of her life!! It was a rainy first day!!

"Pissed off"

We got an Xbox today. Sammy got Toy Story 3 game for Rory. She is pretty good at working the controller so far. I went to the room to get ready for bed and Sammy was playing the game. When I came back out, Rory says, "Dad is getting pissed off at this game." We didn't say anything. Didn't want to make a big deal out of it and embarassed her. She gets mad. Then she started playing and then says, "Ugh, this game is pissing me off." Ok, time to tell her...not a good word Rory. Daddy's mistake! =)

Rory's projects

So, Rory is into making/doing "projects" lately. She loves to use scissors and glue. She was talking so much as she was cutting, and doing things. She really made me think of Martha Stewart. Of course, I didn't catch the good stuff on video, but here is some of it. And Payton is in the background as you can hear

Push car

Grandma got Payton a pink push car for her birthday. She LOVES it! She had one for Ethan at her house that we got to try out. Payton was a little smaller then, but seemed to like it. She loves it now. She just sits in it and lets whoever push her around-around the house. Rory pushed her around the block and thought it was the greatest thing. Normally, Payton won't sit still for anything, but holding on the steering wheel in this car, she is perfectly content! (Rory tires it out too, of course!)
