Princess Birthday party

We went to a really fun birthday party yesterday. The girls got to dress up and then have their nails and makeup done. And then a fashion show and tea party. Here is Rory's runaway walk...

Rory did so good! She was so patient...getting the purple dots lined up took a little bit. She needed a big hug afterwards, but I was amazed at how determined she was to get her ears pierced. When we got home to take a nap, she was very concerned about how she was going to sleep. I told her she needs to sleep like Sleeping Beauty, or "Snow White" she added. A little tylenol took care of the soreness the first night and on day 2, today, she is perfect. I think we will be wearing our hair back or in a pony tail a little more, so the earrings show...

Uncle Kyle & iPad!!

Uncle Kyle has definitely kept Rory up to date with Apple technology. He got her an iPod nano when she was two. A iPod shuffle before that. She got his old iPhone when he got a new one. And the latest and greatest is an iPad. Sammy and I were very excited about this one. We had been debating on getting her a table sort of thing, just didn't know which and how much. Surprise, Uncle Kyle!! Rory loves it! Pretty much all she has done is made cookies-an app Sammy downloaded. She can pick either pre-made dough or mix her own. Pour, stir, shake, roll, bake in the oven, cut shapes decorate and eat.

Payton's turn....I think she will use it sparingly, Rory has passed on her iPhone...a little better if that drops or falls.



Payton is so busy and DOES NOT want any help, it was a little harder to get good pictures of her. She just wants to push or do anything that will make the screen change. She's not interested in games or specific interaction. In time....

Payton in Rory's carseat

Both girls LOVE buckles..on the carseat, the highchair, anywhere they can find them. Rory can now and has for a little bit been able to buckle her own seat belt, so she is not as into buckles as Payton is. So, brought Rory's carseat in this morning to adjust the height, because she is 45 inches tall, and it hadn't been cleaned since we got it, ahh maybe two years...sorry that's gross!
Well, the cover is in the wash, but as soon as Payton woke up, guess where she went! She's been sitting in there for at least twenty minutes. Not sure if I'll even get her out for breakfast. Some of the words, I'm hearing..."I can't"-when she can't get the buckles and straps lined up right, "Stuck"-didn't have the center clip in the right spot, "done"-when she wants it unbuckled to start over. "Rah-Rah's seat" Lots of big smiles!!

Payton was suppose to be taking a nap, but I was watching her on the monitor and couldn't figure out what she was doing with her shirt....this is what I found. She is into putting on shoes and clothes, especially Rory's and I guess now taking them off!
