Rory's 5th birthday party

Little Mermaid was the theme, for I think, the 3rd year. She loves Ariel! So, of course, we had to have Ariel come to the party. She came and told a story, did a dance, and painted faces. Rory invited her friends from her preschool and of course, Colton! She was very excited to be turing 5, her favorite number!

Rory jumping off boat

We got these "floaties" style vests called Puddle Jumpers. Gave Rory a lot of confidence as far as swimming goes when we are on the boat. There is a little better range of motion with the arms and has more support than just floaties. Sammy put a ladder on the back of the boat and so it made jumping off the boat and getting back on so easy. Rory was in heaven, jumping, jumping, jumping. We finally made her take break for a little bit. We had her sit down and for some reason had her take off her puddle jumper. She ate a little snack and then all of a sudden she stood up and went and jumped off the boat--totally forgetting she didn't have her puddle jumper on. She came back up to the surface, or I don't know if she even went under, but was somewhat trending water and panicking. Sammy jumped in, hanging onto the bimini top so he wouldn't go under and be able to just grab her.
