Rory's Imaginary Friends
So...Jippy has been around since midway through preschool with Ms. Kara (2yr). Then Jippy turned into Jippy girl and Jippy boy. At some point Pooku came around and Pooku girl and Pooku boy appeared. They went many places with us, ate dinner with us. I haven't heard from them in a while. The other day, Joe and Eric got out of the car with Rory. Joe Jonas and Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid. Tonight she started talking about Pooku & Jippy boys and girls. So....the imagination is definitely wild and crazy.

Rory peed in the pool
First pool time of the summer. We went with Colton and were playing in the baby pool. Rory looked at me and asked, "Can I pee in the pool?" I jumped up and "no, I'll take you potty." She looked at me and said "It's already in, it's already in....but that ok?!"

Blue Hole
Friday evening we went to the Blue Hole in Georgetown. Sammy has been trying to hard to get Rory to go fishing with him. We were going to attempt to all go on the boat, but the lifejacket we had for Payton didn't fit right. So we went to the "Rock Park" as Rory calls it. A small front had blown in so it was a little cool-68 degrees. Sammy fished and Rory swam, Payton ate rocks. If it hadn't been cool Payton probably would have been in the water too. Rory had blue lips and teeth were chattering and she was refusing to go home. She is going to love the water this summer. Sammy even caught a fish.

Rough Day for Payton
Payton got beat up yesterday. After her first nap, she woke up with a scratch on her eye lid and a small red spot on her other eyebrow (assuming she hit her head on the crib somewhere.) Tried to put her down for a second nap and I think she was trying to pull up in the crib and fell backwards and banged her head on the rails. She had a bump probably the size of my thumb on the back of her head. It got smaller with ice and she didn't even seem to care about after I picked her up. Then later in the evening she was crawling around the kitchen and she had one of those edges in her hand. (we have this foamish mat for her that is made up of squares that fit together. There are little edges thats fit around the squares. Payton LOVES to rip them off the squares and carry them around, nap with them, etc.) So she had an edge in her hand as she was crawling and I think it made her hand slip and she banged her forehead. And then....she somehow got her fingers wedged under her exersaucer(the pink thing) and fell over putting more pressure on her fingers and couldn't get up. That poor little girl! We are thinking this is just the beginning....

Payton and eating
She loves to! No more of the pureed food, she wants the real stuff. She is still nursing well, but I am amazed at how much she eats. I think her first word is "Mo" which I think is 'more' as in more food. I have been showing her the sign for more, but she likes to slap her hand on the tray for what I think is more. She's been doing the sign for more, but says "Da" with it so, who knows! I think Rory's first word was the same. Not "Mo" as in Momma...more for food---those are my daughters!!
Mother's Day
I had a very nice Mother's Day. Got to take a great nap after my night shift. Sammy and Rory wrote me a poem that is going to be framed and put on the wall. We went to Zio's for dinner. It is right next to Taco Cabana, so we were worried that we were going to get argument from Rory about where to eat. Rory LOVED it! When the waiter came to take our drink order, she whispered in my ear, "I want a bean and cheese taco." (can you see we eat Mexican food alot?) They brought us the bread and oil dip. I think Rory single handedly ate ALL of it! She was dipping her fingers in the dip and eating it. She got lasgna which she ate some of, but was full mostly from the bread and oil dip. Then she announced, "This is my favorite place! My favorite places are McDonalds, Taco Cabana, this place, oh and Chilis." Payton likes it too. She got to suck/eat on some bread and a crouton. She is a pretty good eater. She was very good and content with the except constantly lifting the paper on the table to see what was under it. It was a nice dinner and we had tons of leftovers which we should get to enjoy for several meals this week!

HEB with two

HEB with two kids is always fun. Today was the first time I put both of them in the front of the cart. So much easier than just letting Rory wondering around. Although, I almost need a forklift to get her in with those long legs. We talked to Rory about doing this when I was pregnant. She had been looking forward to it for a long time.
We were going between aisles and saw a large-sized lady. Rory said in what seemed like a really loud voice, "She's huge!" I quickly went down an aisle and covered her mouth, but of course it was too late. She probably heard her. I explained to Rory that it's not nice to say stuff like that, etc. Rory has never said anything like that before, I was shocked. It's funny now because I am so surprised that came out of her mouth, hopefully we didn't hurt any feelings.
